Wedding Invitations 2015 part 2

Here are another three of the wedding invitation samples made for Meiflower to display on her stall. The first two are pretty straightforward, but the last one is a pocket card, with plenty of room to include all of the important information.

Wedding invitation samples 2015 part 1

It's that time of year again, when I make some wedding invitation samples to display on the Meiflower stall at all the craft shows they attend. I try to keep the designs fairly simple as I know how difficult and time consuming it can be when you have to make a lot of the same design.
All ribbons, gems, pearls, diamante toppers and satin rosebuds are available from Meiflower, there are more details on my blog.

Here are the first three.

Wedding day card

Here's a card I made for the latest challenge at The Paper Shelter, using a gorgeous image of a bride. Of course I had to have some bling on the wedding card, so added some of Meiflowers  AB stick on crystals to the doily and also dotted them in groups of three around the flowers, each flower has a pink gem in the middle too. The narrow satin ribbon was perfect for threading through the lace I found in my stash.

Invitation sample #3

A nice classic colour combo of black and white with a touch of silver for our invitation today, the satin ribbon, metallic edged ribbon, pretty buttons and black metallic string are all available from Meiflower, although all may not be on the website, but you can always phone your order through if you don't see what you want in store.

Wedding Invitation #2

Today's offering is a bit more traditional than yesterdays. The pearl and diamante topper and satin ribbon are both available from Meiflower, although you may have to ring to order as I am not sure if they are both on the website yet.

Wedding Invitations 2014 - #1

Here is the first of my wedding invitation samples, I used Meiflower satin ribbon to make bunting, which I hung from metallic cord. I added the date with die cut numbers, punched out a couple of hearts and added a gem to each.
This would also work well as a Save the Date card.

Mr and Mr

Here's a card I made last year for a friend of mine to give to her son and partner for their civil ceremony, the bow ties and little pocket handkerchiefs are made from Meiflower 10mm satin ribbon, shirt buttons are stick on pearls and the little buttons on the suits are from Meiflower large selection of  small plain and polka dot buttons. I tied the sentiment tag on with 25mm burgundy organza ribbon and more of the 10mm satin ribbon.

Happy I do day!

Here's a wedding card I put together using a digital stamp from Time for Tea and a wedding horseshoe die from Joanna Sheen, I embellished the horseshoe with metallic edged satin ribbon and stick on gems from Meiflower crafts.

Wedding Invitation #12

Hi, here's another one of the wedding invitation samples I made, we only have four left after this one, so you'll be glad to know we are nearly at the end now.

The card is a lovely pearlescent silver, but unfortunately the colour doesn't show up too well in the photo, nor does the sparkle on the patterned and glittered vellum, but it's sooo pretty in real life.
The organza and metallic edged ribbon are both from Meiflower as is the diamante ribbon slider and the stick on gems.

Wedding Invitation #11

Not too many more to go now, today's invitation is extra-blingy as it has four diamante pieces on it (the centre piece is made up of two ribbon sliders) all available at Meiflower, along with the narrow satin ribbon, so should certainly give the wow! factor.

Wedding invitation #10

Still got a few more invitations to show you, six more after this one. Todays invitation is a pocket with the details on a sheet inside that slides out. I used a frame die to cut the fancy opening and die cut a heart window for the bride and grooms names to show through. It's quite plain, but finished off with some wide satin ribbon and a gorgeous diamante ribbon slider both from Meiflower.

Wedding Invitation #8

Yet another wedding invitation, on this one I made the paper myself by rubbing a pink ink pad over the inside front of an embossing folder, then adding pearl paper and running it through the machine, the ink goes onto the flat parts but the embossed parts stay white. I love the effect. It's finished off with some wide satin ribbon in a gorgeous silver colour and a pretty diamante topper both from Meiflower.

Wedding Invitation #8

Another simple design today, although I didn't have lace that was wide enough so I used two layers, which made it a bit more fiddly, I also threaded the ribbon through two diamante ribbon sliders to make it a bit more blingy.

Wedding invitation #7

Today's wedding invitation is probably the easiest one of them all, just some lace, a big bow made from Meiflower wide satin ribbon and a beautiful diamante heart topper also from Meiflower.

The lace is really pretty and has a glittery thread running through it that unfortunately doesn't show up in the photo.

Wedding invitation #6

Once again this one is not too difficult, just some different sized squares of card, one embossed, brought together with wide satin ribbon and a diamante heart ribbon slider from Meiflower
I added the feather because I thought the top looked a bit bare, but you could always print the names above the ribbon, the date or other details below and leave the feather off completely.

Wedding invitation #5

A much easier one today, just some embossing and punched squares, with narrow ribbon, pearl heart embellishments and a diamante heart charm all from Meiflower.

Wedding invitation #4

This design is a little more complicated than some of the others, so would take a lot longer to put together, wouldn't be too bad for a small wedding with not too many invitations.
It's decorated with some lovely pearl embellishments from Meiflower.

The pearl and diamante flower topper is soooooo pretty in real life.

Wedding invitation #3

A very simple design, made more spectacular by the layers of gorgeous deep lace and the double diamante heart, made by sticking a heart ribbon slider and diamante heart topper together.

Some wide knotted satin ribbon and a matching narrow satin ribbon bow add a contrast of colour.

Thanks for taking a look,
I'll be back with another over the weekend.

Wedding Day Card

Still on the wedding theme but this time around a wedding day card, the bride and groom toppers were made by layering, cutting and embossing die cut hearts.

I used black and white pearls for shirt and jacket buttons, added a couple of AB gems to the brides dress, I made a grosgrain ribbon dickie bow for the groom and finished off the card with gorgeous silver satin ribbon and a diamante ribbon slider.

Thanks for popping in,
see you tomorrow with another wedding invitation.
