Owl always love you!

Today I have a card made using images from a Kraftyhands CD Rom called What a Hoot, I used ribbons, gems and pearls from Meiflower to  "dress" the bride and groom, using 25mm white organza ribbon as a veil with gems for a  headdress, part of a doily made her gown and was finished of with more gems. The groom has a silver grey dickie bow and matching hat band made using 4mm satin ribbon and 2mm pearls for shirt buttons and 3mm gems for his waistcoat buttons.

Baby first birthday card

Here's a card I made for a friend, it was a bit of a last minute request so I printed out decoupage and papers from the Crafters Companion Bebunni Baby Papercrafting CD rom for quickness.
I used two different sizes of pearls from Meiflower, putting a larger pearl in each corner and a smaller one either side, just to add a bit of extra detail to the card, the gorgeous pink organza ribbon is also from Meiflower.

Just for You!

We have a bit of a thing for ducks in my house, started by my hubby when the children were young, they have to be yellow and fluffy and are usually called Billy!, so when I saw this cute image over at digistamp boutique I just had to have it. After colouring it I thought Meiflower's yellow and orange organza ribbon would go perfectly with it.

I was playing around with the  ribbon, as I am always trying to come up with different things to do with it, rather than just a bow, and somehow or other ended up with this design, so I added it to my card and I must say I am quite pleased with it.

Mr and Mr

Here's a card I made last year for a friend of mine to give to her son and partner for their civil ceremony, the bow ties and little pocket handkerchiefs are made from Meiflower 10mm satin ribbon, shirt buttons are stick on pearls and the little buttons on the suits are from Meiflower large selection of  small plain and polka dot buttons. I tied the sentiment tag on with 25mm burgundy organza ribbon and more of the 10mm satin ribbon.

Ribbon Butterfly

Hi all, just wanted to pop in and show you a card that I made during the week. I made a double looped bow from Meiflower wide organza ribbon which I was about to attach to the card when I realised that it looked a little like a butterfly, so I added some antennae and black stick on gems down the middle to represent the body and voila! a ribbon butterfly.

The bird and flowers are dangling on craft wire and you can just spot the ribbon butterfly underneath them.

Thanks for dropping in,
Hope you have a lovely weekend,

Taking flight

These cards in a box seem to be all over the place at the moment, so thought I would have a go at making one, I found some great instructions with downloadable template (link on my blog) and put this one together.

I used Meiflower clear stick on crystals for the butterfly bodies, a couple of her pearl embellishments to the centres of the flower and an organza ribbon bow.

Baby Carriage

Here's a baby card I made using lots of dies, a couple of punches and ribbon and stick on pearls from Meiflower. I used satin ribbon for the hood and pram of the baby carriage, by first applying a thin line of Collall tacky glue around the edges of the pram hood and blanket, then attaching the ribbon ( I used 25mm wide satin and 10mm wide satin), leaving it to dry and then trimming away the excess. I used the same ribbon and technique behind the die cut border too and then decorated with various sizes of stick on pearls finishing off with a double loop bow made from organza ribbon.

Heart of Bling!

I've got a couple of love themed cards to show you today (we are heading towards Valentines day after all), using Sassy Cheryl illustrations from Paper Creator. Both cards have been embellished with ribbons and/or gems from Meiflower.

I probably went a bit over the top with the gem and pearl encrusted heart frame, but I had half an hour to spare and couldn't resist adding all that bling LOL!

Baubles, bells and bows

Today I have a bauble shaped card to show you (template on my blog if you want to snag it). The card has three bows, one made of 25mm organza ribbon, one of 10mm satin ribbon and one from white metallic cord (all available from Meiflower) layered on top of each other - the metallic cord also has a couple of Meiflower jingle bells tied onto it. I have die cut and punched some snowflakes to decorate the card and added Meiflower aurora borealis stick on gems in a variety of sizes to the centre of each one.

Thanks for dropping in,
have a lovely weekend,

Tag Cards

I am not about as much as I would like to be at present, because as well as being full time carer for my disabled daughter, I am also looking after my two year old grandson most days while his mum and dad are at work and he has gone from a having a couple of hours of sleep a day, (when I could get a bit of crafting done), to not sleeping at all through the day and constantly wanting me to play with his cars or read his tractor books, (I am becoming quite an expert on tractors LOL!).
We have also recently found out that my 82 year old Father in law has widespread cancer so with one thing and another I just can't find much time for crafting, although,I do what I can when I can, as it's the only thing that is keeping me sane at the moment.

Here are a couple of cards I made using the Snow Much Joy ultimate kit from Paper Creator, the kits contains a Sassy Cheryl image, colour matched papers, a ready to print easel card and a make me a topper set as well as some extras like the tags I used for the tag cards below.

I made two tag shaped cards embellished with a sentiment and make me a topper set from the kit and finished them off with various Meiflower goodies, ribbons - satin, organza and metallic edged - stick on gems in lilac and blue and little silver jingle bells.

enjoy your Sunday,

Satin flower Christmas tree and Wreath

A while ago I made some Christmas samples for Mei to show at the craft shows she attends and although it has taken me a while to get around to it, I have finally managed to get them blogged.

On this card I arranged the flowers in the shape of a Christmas tree adding a couple of stick on gems to the middle of my precious snowflakes.

Here I used the flowers to decorate my wreath shape, adding a bow tied with both organza and metallic edged ribbon and topping off with a diamante snowflake topper and cats eye dazzlers in the corners to finish off.

Some of the items aren't available on the website as yet, but you can pick them up at any of the craft shows Meiflower attends and also by phoning through an order.

Bow Crazy!

Here's another quickie card, once again using a freebie Christmas tree digi stamp from Birds Cards and inspired by the sample card next to the digi stamp.
The papers I used should be red and green, but when I printed them out I didn't realise that the yellow ink nozzle was blocked, which resulted in the teal and purple colours you see below, I actually really liked the colours so used the papers anyway.
The tree is decorated with ready made gold bows from Meiflower, and some 2mm green gems. I also found some organza ribbon, which matched the card colour perfectly.
This was a sample card for Mei to put up at the craft shows so had to be 6x6, which meant I had to tighten up the bows a little and trim the ends. I am pretty sure that if the card was A5 size the bows could be stuck straight on from the bag.

Bling it on!

Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card, using a very simple Stick Christmas tree digi stamp, (a freebie from Birds cards). I have covered the branches with Meiflower stick on gems and Pearls, and for the tree topper, I have used a small circle diamante buckle, topped with a large stick on pearl from the mixed size pack. The bubblegum pink organza ribbon, matched the papers perfectly.

Christmas Stackable set

Hi there, here's a Christmas set I made using a download from Paper Creator and then embellishing it with lots of crystals, pearls and ribbons from Meiflower.

The set consists of a drawer which contains three Christmas cards and envelopes. I used a stick on pearl either side of the drawer handle.

I added a satin ribbon rosebud trio and organza bow to the ornament and used tiny red stick on pearls for the holly berries.

On this card I used both 10mm and 25mm Satin ribbon and pink stick on gems.

I decorated the Christmas tree with 2mm stick on gems in red, deep pink and light pink, added a narrow satin ribbon bow to the top and AB crystals in the centre of the snowflakes.

enjoy the weekend,

Wedding Invitation #12

Hi, here's another one of the wedding invitation samples I made, we only have four left after this one, so you'll be glad to know we are nearly at the end now.

The card is a lovely pearlescent silver, but unfortunately the colour doesn't show up too well in the photo, nor does the sparkle on the patterned and glittered vellum, but it's sooo pretty in real life.
The organza and metallic edged ribbon are both from Meiflower as is the diamante ribbon slider and the stick on gems.

Another wedding invitation sample

This burgundy and cream card was decorated with Meiflower's burgundy gems and pearls, it took me ages to get a decent photo of the gems as they always looked black on the photos, but in real life they are a lovely rich burgundy colour. I finally managed to get a photo where you can see the burgundy colour in some of them.
I added alternating rows of pearls and gems to the crossover points of the embossed card and gems around the heart and in the flower centre and strip of burgundy organza ribbon a couple of pearl hearts in the corner.
